Sri Sathya Sai Mangal Stotram

A Hymn Composed by Karan, Krishna, and Shiv Dewan

A stotram is a hymn in which the divine is adored. The Sri Sathya Sai Mangal Stotram is composed of nine verses. In this stotram the spiritual aspirant invokes the presence of his Guru Bhagwan Shri Sathya Sai  Baba to come and accept his love in the form of gratitude. The one that worships God with the gift of gratitude attains the highest knowledge and frees himself from the cycle of birth and death.

Mangalam Sri Sai Deva
Sri Parthi Nivasi Deva
Mangalam Shree Sai Gurudeva

I bow to the Lord who is the King of Kings,
Who is of the form of Iswara and the resident of our hearts.
Auspiciousness to that Lord Sai,
The Lord who resides in Parthi.
Auspiciousness to Sri Sai Gurudeva,
I bow to Sri Sathya Sai!

Poornaavatara Sri Bhagavathe Sayee
Paramatma Roopatma Jnaana Pradaayi
Purushottamaa  Bhaktha Hrudayaa Sthaayi
Dhanyavadam prabhu asmadiyaih
Dhanyavadam prabhu Sri Sathya Sai

Lord Sai is the complete Avatar,
The Supreme Self and the granter of knowledge,
The ideal being and the one who establishes Himself in the hearts of devotees.

Bhava Roga Haari mama priya Sai mata
Bhupala Gopala mama Sai natha

Our Sai, the Lord and Teacher, is prevalent throughout the world,
Our dear Mother Sai destroys the disease of worldly existence,
Our Lord Sai is the protector of the earth and protector of cows (Gopala),

Easwaramba Suta Surya Sama Pratibha

He is the embodiment of Shiva and Shakthi, the resident of Parthi,
The protector of saints and sages and the destroyer of sins,
The sun of Easwaramma who shines resplendently like the sun

Pitarakta Vastra Dhara Agni Sama Bhaasura
Ramaniya hasana Ati Madhura tava smayana
Surucira Suvikrama Rasaatmaka Manorama
Dhanyavadam prabhu asmadiyaih

Donning the orange-red vesture, resplendent like fire,
Your laugh is so delightful and your smile so sweet,
You are radiant, your gait is beautiful, charming, and attractive.
We thank you O Lord of Ours,

Amritarasa Dhaara tava sundarauvacam
Madhuram Mohanam Komalam Ruciram
Vedantasaraam ca Bhaagavathamulam
Dhanyavadam prabhu asmadiyaih
Dhanyavadam prabhu Sri Sathya Sai

Your beautiful words are a flow of the sweetest nectar,
They are sweet, attractive, soft, and pleasant.
They are the essence of the Vedas (holy scriptures) and source of the Bhaagavatha (the story of Divine Love),

Atyanta Vaatsalya Niravadhi Vaahati
Twattanaat O Sayee Karunaa Dayamai
Anuraagadaayi He abhaya murthi

 Immense motherly love endlessly flows,
From you, O Sai, who is full of mercy and compassion
O bestower of affection, the embodiment of fearlessness,

Aascarya camatkarana mahimaa vilaasi
Bhaktha mata Shraddha sthira rakthi pradaaayi  
Nirmulya anna jala aarogya daatri
Dhanyavadam prabhu asmadiyaih
Dhanyavadam prabhu Sri Sathya Sai

You sport miracles that cause surprise and astonishment,
You thereby give faith and steady devotion in the minds of devotees,
You are the giver food, water, and health all free of cost.

Sarva mata sambhavam sai upadesam
Sarva Jana Poshanam sarva jaga palakam
Sarva Guna Bodhakam Sarva Nuti Phalakam
Dhanyavadam prabhu asmadiyaih

Sai’s message is the equality of all faiths,
He is the sustainer of all mankind and the protector of the world,
He teaches all virtues and is the fruit of all worship,
